Walter Soza remains one of the greatest swimmers in TCU history, representing the program's first All-American and Olympian. Soza competed in the NCAA Championships in three-straight seasons from 1994-96 and claimed All-America honors in the 200-medley in 1994 while earning All-Southwest Conference honors the following season. Soza, the Nicaragua "Athlete of the Year" in 1993, represented his country at the 1996 Olympic Games in Atlanta, competing in the 200-fly, 200-IM and 400-medley.
