During his senior season, Huffman was selected as one of the Top-10 Two-Sports Athletes and Top-10 Special Teams Players in the country by Sports Illustrated. Huffman capped off his senior season on the baseball field by garnering first team All-American honors to go along with being recognized as the Western Athletic Conference Player of the Year and first team all-conference award winner. The former TCU standout was cited as second team All-American during his junior campaign in addition to earning all-conference recognition. Huffman was selected in the 12th round of the 1999 Major League Baseball Amateur Draft by the Houston Astros and currently plays in their minor league system. As a newcomer to the TCU lineup in 1996, Huffman made an immediate impact and garnered Freshman All-American accolades to go along with Southwest Conference Freshman of the Year and All-Southwest Conference laurels for the Frogs. Selected as TCU's Most Valuable Player on two occasions, Huffman currently holds team records for most at-bats, hits, doubles, home runs, total bases and walks and still holds the program's all-time record for most RBI in a game (8). In addition to his prowess on the baseball field, Huffman enjoyed an outstanding football career with the Frogs as he garnered All-WAC accolades on two occasions. During his senior season, Huffman was a first team All-WAC selected at punt returner and also earned first team recognition during his sophomore campaign at kick returner and punter.
