TCU ATHLETICS HALL OF FAME
Phil Turner was a two-time All-Southwest Conference player in 1973 and 1974. In 1973, he was named an All-American as the Frogs’ second baseman. Turner led his team in hits in 1971 with 47. In his All-America year of 1973, he led the Frogs in batting average (.388) and RBIs (38). Known as a dangerous base-runner, he also led TCU in stolen bases with 17 swipes in 1974.  Turner was an anchor for his team both offensively and defensively while playing for Hall of Fame Coach Frank Windegger.
