Michael Frater is a four-year letterman and is one of the most decorated student-athletes in TCU track and field history with seven All-America selections and five Conference USA titles. Frater was named the 2002 C-USA Outdoor Athlete of the Year and was the silver medalist at the 2004 NCAA Championship. He also excelled in the classroom in his time at TCU as he was named an Academic All-American in 2003. Frater has shined on the world stage since departing TCU, competing in the last three Olympic Games with Gold medals at the 2008 Games in Bejing and 2012 Games in London. Of Jamaica's combined four Olympic and World Championship Gold medals, only Frater and Usain Bolt were on all four teams.
