TCU ATHLETICS HALL OF FAME
A member of the Southwest Conference co-champions baseball team and SWC MVP in 1972, Jimmy Torres served as the baseball team's co-captain in 1972 and 1973. Torres lettered four years as an outfielder and earned All-Southwest conference honors in 1972. After graduating with a B.S. in education, Torres began his teaching career. He retired as the Director of Secondary Schools for the Fort Worth Independent School District after 33 years in 2006. Torres has served on the TCU National Alumni Board and is also a member of the TCU Frog Club and Block T Association.
