Hello Frog Fam!
I hope you're enjoying a wonderful summer! As I reflect on my first six months as Director, one word comes to mind, gratitude. It has truly been an incredible start. Thank you for the encouragement, support, and excitement you've shown as we've worked together to strengthen this community of TCU Letterwinners.
The spring semester was filled with so many highlights. Our student-athletes competed at an incredibly high level, our spring sports represented TCU with excellence, and it was a privilege to celebrate another outstanding graduating class alongside our Athletics leadership.
This spring also provided the opportunity to meet with many of our incredible alumni, donors, and supporters. Building those relationships has been one of the most rewarding parts of this role, and I continue to be inspired by the generosity and passion of our Horned Frog family.
Behind the scenes, we've also been working on several exciting new initiatives that have received approval, and I can't wait to share them with you. I truly believe they will strengthen the value of being an active TCU Letterwinner and continue moving Block T forward in meaningful ways. So, be sure to mark your calendar for our next Block T Virtual Locker Room Meeting on Wednesday, July 22, at 6:30 p.m. (CT). We'll send the Zoom link via email so you can join us from anywhere in the world. I'll provide updates on everything happening this summer and what you can expect as we head into an exciting fall.
You'll also notice the photos to the right from my first National Letterwinner Association conference. Dameon and I had the opportunity to spend time with professionals from universities across the country whose sole responsibility is serving former student-athletes. It was an outstanding opportunity to exchange ideas, learn best practices, and bring back new ways to better serve each of you. Next year, I’d like our executive board members to attend. It will be hosted by Ohio State University.
Speaking of Dameon, I want to publicly recognize him for everything he does for Block T. He truly is the backbone of our association. His commitment, knowledge, and passion have made my transition into this role incredibly smooth, and I couldn't imagine doing this work without him. I'm grateful for his partnership and excited about what we'll continue to build together.
As always, thank you for believing in Block T and for continuing to invest in one another. The best is still ahead, and I can't wait to see many of you this summer and throughout the upcoming athletic season.
Many Blessings and Go Frogs®!

Cedric James
Director of TCU Block T Association

- A WORD FROM LA PULGA, THE OFFICIAL TEQUILA OF TCU ATHLETICS
Award-winning La Pulga Tequila was founded in Fort Worth by three local friends, Andrew de la Torre (proud TCU alum), Sarah Castillo and Stephen Slaughter, brought together by a shared passion for high quality, all natural agave spirits done right. Since its inception four years ago, La Pulga is one of the fastest-growing tequilas in Texas and is the Official Tequila of both Dickies Arena and TCU Athletics.
La Pulga Tequila is crafted sustainably in small batches from only the ripest 100% Blue Weber Agave grown in the high altitude of the Jalisco, Mexico Highlands. La Pulga translates to the flea, and is a nod to the camaraderie, hard work and shared community of open-air markets known north and south of the Texas border.
To learn more about where you can find La Pulga close to you as well as sign up for their newsletter, click HERE. You can also buy spirits online to ship across the country or straight to you, using our exclusive code LPxBlockT for free shipping on 2+ bottles, through 8/1.
Finally, in honor of the soccer craze taking over our summer, here’s a cocktail recipe sure to please that honors the other ‘The Flea,’ a fitting tribute to the player whose nickname turns heads and recently added another milestone to a legendary career this week in DFW.
