NIL in college athletics has evolved. Here's what you need to know:
Beginning July 1st, institutions are now allowed to share up to $20.5M annually with student-athletes. While most Power 4 schools are scrambling to fund this new mandate, TCU is uniquely positioned thanks to strong campus backing. Our Chancellor and Trustees have committed to supporting revenue sharing without placing the full financial burden on TCU Athletics.
As a result, TCU Athletics can focus on building a sustainable philanthropic model that supports both athletic operations and student-athlete opportunities. With the dissolution of the Flying T Collective, supporters are now encouraged to redirect their NIL-related giving to the Frog Club, where it can directly enhance the student-athlete experience through operational support, recruitment resources, endowed scholarships and more.
