BTA - Brown and TomlinsonThe Texas Black Sports Hall of Fame inducted its 2025 Class this past Saturday, March 1, in Dallas, and among the inductees were two former Horned Frog football players, LaDainian Tomlinson and Larry Brown.

The induction was held at Dallas Renaissance Hall and also included the inductions of Gladys Lee, Michelle Carter, Calvin Murray, Derrick James, Greg Williams, Harvey Armstrong, Eugene Lockhart Jr., Ken Washington, Harold Cash and the late Fritz Pollard.

Tomlinson was arguably one of the top running backs in the history of college and professional football. Tomlinson helped kick off TCU's resurgence in football during the turn of the millennium when he recorded an All-America career highlighted by a pair of national rushing titles during his final two seasons in 1999 and 2000. His 2,158 yards as a senior marked the fourth-highest single-season total in NCAA history at the time, while his 5,263 career rushing yards ranked sixth. In 2000, Tomlinson was a finalist for the Heisman Trophy, finishing fourth, and won the Doak Walker Award as nation's top running back. LT was officially inducted into TCU's Athletics Hall of Fae in 2012 following his retirement from the NFL.

Brown played two seasons for the Horned Frogs from 1988-89 after transferring in following a two-year stint at Los Angeles Southwest College. In his two seasons at TCU, he totaled more than 100 tackles and three interceptions, to go along with 10+ pass breakups. He was drafted by the Dallas Cowboys in the 1991 NFL Draft and went onto become a three-time Super Bowl Champion (XXVII, XXVIII, XXX). He tallied a pair of second half interceptions against the Pittsburg Steelers in Super Bowl XXX, on the way to earning Super Bowl MVP honors.

Congratulations to both LaDainian and Larry on this outstanding honor!

TCU WBB 2025 ChampsBig 12 Conference Champions!
Congratulations to the TCU women's basketball team, who won the program's first-ever Big 12 regular-season conference championship following a 51-48 road win over Baylor this past Sunday. The Horned Frogs earned their first regular-season conference championship for the first time since winning the Mountain West Conference regular-season title following the 2009-10 season. Head coach Mark Campbell was named the Big 12's Coach of the Year, while Hailey Van Lith was tabbed the league's Player of the Year and Newcomer of the Year. Van Lith, Sedona Prince and Madison Conner were each named to the All-Big 12 First Team.

The women's basketball team is currently in Kansas City, Mo., for the Phillips 66 Big 12 Conference Tournament. They earned the tournament's No. 1 seed and will face Colorado today in the Quarterfinals. Tip-off is set for 1:30 p.m. and the contest will be aired on ESPNU.

TCU is a lock to earn at least an automatic bid into the NCAA Tournament - and with a No. 1, No. 2, No. 3, or No. 4 seed - the Horned Frogs would host the first round of the tournament, which is set to get underway March 21-24. TCU is currently projected to get a No. 3 seed in the tournament. Should the Horned Frogs host the first round, NCAA Tournament ticket information will be available at GoFrogs.com.
