What accomplishments has your scholarship helped you accomplish? In the classroom, in the community and/or in your sport?
My scholarship has granted me with many opportunities to excel across all spaces of what it means to be a TCU student athlete. Athletically, I have been the recipient of the Big 12 Hunt Seat- Fences Rider of the Year Award in 2020, NCEA All-American, and numerous Big 12 first team awards. Academically, I was a nominee for the Pillar of Purple award, Academic All Big-12 First Team, NCEA All-Academic First Team, and graduated as a double business major in the spring of 2021. Currently, I am pursuing my MSBA at TCU and would not be able to continue my education and represent TCU without my scholarship. In the community, I was apart of a group that raised over $1,200 for COVID-19 front line respondents by creating, marketing, and selling cookbooks with recipes contributed by my teammates. All of this would not have been possible without the support of my scholarship and I am incredibly blessed to be both a student and athlete representing TCU.

Who is one of your role models and why?
Coach Schoolfield is one of my biggest role models at TCU. Most people do not realize that our team consists of roughly 80 athletes (two- legged and four-legged) and Coach Schoolfield manages all 80 without a complaint. She is constantly supportive of every girl and pushes us not only to be better athletes but individuals as well. I have learned a lot from her about what it looks like to be a leader and member of the team.

How will the education you are receiving benefit you after you leave TCU?
The education I am receiving from TCU has already proven beneficial after graduation. I currently work for a Venture Capital/Fund of Funds investment firm in Fort Worth where I work in marketing and investor relations. The education I received from TCU goes beyond the classroom as TCU prepares its students for a life in a professional career through proper interview training, sales coaching, and a strong emphasis on teamwork & team management. As a graduate student, I have already begun applying what I am learning in the MSBA program to my work and have found it very helpful when analyzing and storytelling with data.

If you had the opportunity to talk with a Frog Club donor what would you say to them?
If I had the opportunity to speak with a Frog Club donor, I would not only thank them for their generous support and contributions but for being a crucial and key element in changing a student's life. Without the support of my scholarship, I would not have considered TCU and my life would have taken a different trajectory. It is because of the generous donors that I have been lucky to be supported by that has made me want to return the favor one day. The education, community, and athletic culture that TCU embodies and instills in its students and student athletes is creating the next generation of leaders and I want to thank you for being a key figure in making that happen.
